Who We Are
Javier López-González is a Spanish Computer Science Engineer from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and PhD student for University of Joensuu. His main interests are Web 2.0 technologies, Virtual Teams and Communities of Practice within intercultural settings and how learning and human understanding can be enhanced through the use of technology in novel ways. He is also studying a M.Sc. in Psychology for UNED in Spain.
In the last two years Javier has been working in the North-South Gateway for the Joensuu SciFest. The objective is to bring people from diffrent continents and cultures closer by means of tangible technologies like a distant Tug-of-War.
He speaks fluently Spanish and English and he is beginning (and struggling) with German. He likes swimming, a good book with a good coffee and strolling while taking pictures.
